Cuticle Cream with Lavender


Dry weather can be tough on skin and cuticles, and few things are more unpleasant than dry, cracked fingers and nails! Can’t make it out to a salon for a special treatment? Homemade cuticle creams are a great way to deliver moisture back to nails and hands, and can easily be enhanced by the naturally sourced properties of essential oils. This easy DIY recipe includes Lavender essential oil, an expert choice for soothing dry skin and giving you a spa-like experience with its gentle, relaxing aroma.

SUPPLIES

  • 2 tablespoons shea butter

  • 1 teaspoon beeswax

  • 1 tablespoon Fractionated Coconut Oil

  • 7 drops Lavender

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In small glass container, combine shea butter, beeswax, and Fractionated Coconut Oil.

  2. Place the container in a saucepan with 1–1 ½ inches of gently boiling water.

  3. Stir ingredients for 5–10 minutes until fully melted.

  4. Once ingredients are combined, remove from heat and let rest for three minutes.

  5. Add essential oils and stir.

  6. Pour into personal sized containers and let harden for 2–3 hours.

  7. To use, just apply a small amount to cuticles and rub until absorbed.

No one should have to suffer dry, uncomfortable skin or nails. This essential oil cuticle cream is a drop of nourishing moisture whenever you need it, and it can also be used on hands, lips, or any other dry spots.
