Welcome
You are here because you received a doTERRA package from me to experience the power of using essential oils to REDUCE YOUR TOXIC LOAD.
There is a lot of talk about the toxic load and how we should be more aware of how to minimize and reduce it… but what exactly is it? Toxic load refers to the buildup of toxins and chemicals in our bodies that we ingest from a variety of sources, including the environment, the food we eat, the water we drink, and the personal and household care products we use.
These toxins that build up in our system are a huge stressor to your immune system and mental state. Signs that you are toxic include fatigue, muscle aches, joint pain, gas, bloating, and headaches.
I advocate helping your body on a daily/weekly basis cleanse itself efficiently and reduce the toxic load on your body.
So what can we do? Let's dive in:
While lemon juice extracted from the pulp serves up as a nice refreshing summer drink... it is quite different than its respective lemon essential oil which is super concentrated, potent and sourced from the rind by cold-pressing.
From a scientific perspective, lemon essential oil is much higher in limonene, making it a powerful antioxidant and a cleansing agent beneficial for purging the body of toxins.
It also aids in digestion, supports healthy respiratory function and provides immune system support, especially during seasonal changes. Furthermore, unlike lemon juice, lemon essential oil does NOT contain citric acid and does not erode tooth enamel and is easier to ingest for those with sensitive stomachs.
This blend is called Slim & Sassy (or Smart & Sassy in other countries) it is the metabolic blend and is a wonderful blend of grapefruit, lemon, mint, ginger and cinnamon and is designed to help boost your metabolism and curb hunger cravings. .
And there are no artificial stimulants… just good plant magic doing its thing to support a healthy metabolism by clearing toxins from fat cells, which also leads to weight loss.

Usage Instructions:
We have access to the most incredible tools (yes, essential oils!) that can help reduce our toxic load and eliminate synthetics and toxins from our lives.
It helps to understand that your body is designed to heal itself when it receives what it needs. Think about what happens when you get a cut…your body goes to work healing it, it can form a scab and then it falls off and you have new healed skin.
Every organ in your body becomes new in a few months, and the only time we have problems is when we're not giving the body the proper support to heal.
Nature has unparalleled wisdom and the ability to lend our body the same harmony in which it exists.
I am excited to introduce you to doTERRA and how it is the key tool we use in our home to live a beautiful and natural life!
Metabolic Blend aka Smart & Sassy:
-
My favorite routine with this oil is to apply 2 drops to some lotion or carrier oil and massage into the stomach area. It's energizing + breaks down bloating.
-
Add 1-2 drops to each glass of water to increase cleansing, regulate appetite, and reduce cravings and bloating.
-
A really effective way to apply it to the skin is after dry brushing. Massage into skin by adding a few drops to lotion or carrier oil, focusing on areas where fat or cellulite accumulates.
-
Add to water or tea and drink before working out for an energizing effect (or to punch through the 3pm wall in the afternoon)
-
Add a drop or two to your favorite smoothie
-
Massage into the stomach area for a cooling and calming effect when experiencing menstrual cramps or bloating.
Be careful of sun sensitivity
Some essential oils can pose a risk for sun sensitivity, particularly citrus oils. Some of these oils include bergamot, Green Mandarin, grapefruit, Lemon, lime, tangerine, Wild Orange, and any essential oil blends that contain these oils. Again, this is not an exhaustive list. Before applying an essential oil topically, check the label for any sun sensitivity warnings.Avoid direct sunlight or UV rays for at least 12 hours following the use of these oils on the skin (this includes tanning beds).
Lemon:
-
Add 2 drops to 20 oz of water (glass or stainless steel bottle). It has a light taste with a burst of lemon, but it is also very cleansing for the cells due to the high content of limonene. This is also a more alkaline way to integrate lemon so it doesn't damage tooth enamel like lemon juice does. Aim to drink at least half your body weight in ounces of water each day.
-
2-3 drops in a diffuser help lift your mood and cleanse the air.
-
DIY All-Purpose Cleaner: In a glass spray bottle, fill with 1/2 cup vinegar + 1/2 cup water + 15 drops of lemon. Apply a drop of lemon to remove adhesive, glue, oil, grease or marker. Soak the jewelry in a container with 3 drops of lemon and water. It will shine!
-
Produce Wash: fill a sink with 1 teaspoon of castile soap + 3 drops of lemon + water. Soak products for 10 min.
-
1 - 2 drops in baked goods, beverages, or your favorite main dish to create a spicy flavor. I also love baking with it – here is my recipe for Blueberry Lemon Muffins and my favorite Ketogenic Blueberry Lemon Bread recipe. If you want to continue using it in the kitchen, here are a few more recipes I love to make with lemon essential oil: Zucchini Tomato Basil Salad, Lemon Quinoa Asparagus Salad, Lemon Berry Chia Pudding, yogurt with strawberry and lemon. See all my recipes in this kitchen tool set.

Add a couple of drops to warm honey water to help soothe a scratchy throat and boost your immune system.

Safety Tip: Because lemon is a citrus oil, be careful not to apply it topically to your skin before going out in the sun, as it will make your skin more sensitive.
